What’s Our Purpose:

This class is available for anyone 16 and older. Anyone looking to become better physically, mentally or emotionally. This class will train and sculpt all 3. Anyone willing to challenge themselves in a way most are unwilling to even consider or entertain. This is not a class for “runners”, this is not a running class, we just use running as the catalyst. This is a class for anyone who wants to push their own mental limits and preconstructed belief’s about their capabilities both physically and mentally. Stay Calm, Stay Strong, Stay Ready!

Level 1 - Accept the Dark

$20 - Every Monday starting 8.5.2024

Our Level 1 class is the perfect starting point for beginners venturing into the world of resilience training. Designed to be approachable and inclusive, this class focuses on laying the foundation for a safe and effective experience at Desert Bloom’s Reliability, Resilience and Readiness Training. Distances for this class will be anywhere from 1-3 miles with hill training included during some sessions.

  1. Basic Techniques: Learn fundamental running/trail running techniques, including proper body posture, foot placement, and navigation on varying terrains.

  2. Breathing Essentials: Understand the importance of controlled breathing for enhanced endurance and stamina during your runs.

  3. Terrain Familiarization: Gain confidence on different trail surfaces, from compact dirt paths to uneven rocky trails, as we gradually introduce you to the diversity of trail running environments.

  4. Safety and Preparedness: Receive guidance on essential safety measures, including hydration, basic trail etiquette, and what to carry during your runs.

Level 2 - Respect the Dark

$25 - Every Wednesday starting 8.7.2024

Ready to broaden your stress profile? Level 2 is the next step for those who've conquered the basics and are hungry for more challenges. Designed for enthusiasts who have completed our Level 1 class or possess equivalent fitness, this class delves deeper into refining your skills and building confidence. Distances for this class will be anywhere from 4-8 mile runs with elevation.

  1. Advanced Trail Techniques: Elevate your trail running prowess with a focus on enhanced efficiency, agility, and a faster pace. Master the nuances of running on diverse terrains with confidence.

  2. Vertical Training: Conquer uphill and downhill sections with finesse as you initiate your journey into vertical training. Develop effective strategies for navigating elevation changes, amplifying your overall trail running capabilities.

  3. Distance Stretching: Gradually increase your run distances, pushing the boundaries of your endurance and stamina. Embrace the challenge of longer trails and elevate your overall trail running experience.

Level 3 - Own The Dark

$40 - Every Friday starting 8.9.2024

  4. Technical Trail Challenges: Confront technical trail obstacles that demand agility, balance, and strategic decision-making. Elevate your ability to navigate intricate landscapes with finesse.

  5. Group Expedition: Embark on group expeditions, fostering camaraderie as you face the complexities of night trail running together. Share experiences and triumphs with a community of like-minded individuals.

Welcome to Own The Dark , an advanced class tailored for individuals looking to push their endurance and resilience to the pinnacle. Building on the foundations of Levels 1 and 2 or equivalent experience, this class propels you into an unparalleled realm of physical and mental toughness. Distances for this class will be from 8-24 miles with elevation.

Class Structure:

  • Extended Duration: 90 minutes or however long it takes for the longer distances, offering a comprehensive exploration of your advanced toughness, resilience, and extended trail experiences.

  • Intensity Spectrum: High intensity, incorporating varied and technical terrain to challenge and refine your advanced skills.

  • Instructor Guidance: Benefit from personalized instruction and guidance from our instructor throughout the class. Receive expert insights to enhance your technique, ensure safety, and optimize your night trail running experience.
